As our original plan was not the best it could be we went back and looked at what we could change and consulted our teacher. Our teacher suggested that maybe it was best to not show the beast at all in the opening sequence s this creates a feeling of uncertainty of what to be afraid of. From this point we decided that the fear of the unknown was the way forwards. Play on peoples emotions, for instance people are afraid of the dark as their minds jump to conclusions of what could happen and what could possibly be lurking, its almost as if their minds are playing the trick on them selves.
Once we had got a clearer starting point we went back at our original plan and tweeted it. At the begging it is the same the character loses her dog, although now she is not going to be the main character she is just there purely to show the audience that there is something to fear. the character will go looking for her house and here it barking inside a old abandoned house, she will then step in. The audience will not get to see the inside of the abandoned house in the opening sequence as the character will scream an edit then cuts to the rest of the film, this is to create suspense the audience question whether she is dead or alive.
