Our trip to the BFI in London we watched and met the producer of the film "the hallow". Corin Hardy the producer showed us the opening sequence to his film, this was a big eye opener for me as myself and my friend Ellen are basing our opening sequence on the same genre as him which is horror. It was useful as I often shy away from horrors but it showed me that the opening sequence doesn't need to be scary it just needs to create suspense and anticipation. It sparked thought about the setting and showed us that our original idea for our opening sequence was too revving and too much like a short story. It also highlighted how important sound is especially in scenes with little to no dialogue.
